Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs is a thrilling story illustrated with fantastical vintage photographs. Riggs has gathered photos from private collectors and woven the bizarre pictures into his story of time travel, monsters and misfits. Among the pictures are a levitating girl, two disturbing clown children and a girl trapped in a glass bottle. Although it was slow to start I really enjoyed the story and couldn't wait to turn the page for the next photo. I don't want to spoil the surprises in store if you give this book a read but I will say that Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children is a unique fantasy story that is brought to life through haunting photography and I absolutely recommend it. It is also available here as an e-book.
