Bungawitta by Emily Rodda

Drought and hard times have reduced the fictional outback town of Bungawitta to twelve stubborn people. If the rains don’t come the town will die.

Young Jay comes up with the brilliant idea of holding a town festival to raise money, and put the town on the map. The first Bungawitta Earth Sculpture Festival should bring the visitors in, and the TV crews were coming too, or were they?

This story has lots of fun characters and twist and turns. Will the festival succeed, will the town survive?
