Wildgirl goes to a bar in Shyness to get drunk and forget her problems at school.  She meets the enigmatic, and very hot Wolfboy, who howls like a wolf. She persuades him to spend the night showing her around the suburb of Shyness, a place where the sun set one day and never came up again. They are mugged by the sugar-crazed Kidds, which sets off a chain of events neither of them expected.

This is a beautifully written, and very different novel. It is set in the contemporary world, but has a fantasy or dreamlike element that blurs the lines of reality. An amazing and very original story for older teens!
