Act of faith by Kelly Gardiner

Isabella Hawkins is a girl ahead of her time.  She reads and writes in several languages and is encouraged by her father to challenge the 'establishment'.  But questioning the Church or Government is a dangerous business. When her father is put to death for publishing a controversial pamphlet on freedom, Isabella escapes from England and seeks refuge, first in Amsterdam and then Venice.  Is anywhere safe for a sixteen year old girl, an apprentice printer, who is more educated than most boys?

What now?
