This is a story of a girl's life and how she survives through the second world war. It's a story of her and her family and how Jews suffered in the war from the Nazis and Hitler. Rachel, the main character was what you would call a lucky child in the war.
This story is based in a city called Leipzig in Germany where Rachel grows up with her family. I would recommend this book to people who are around the age of 12-15 because it is based on a true story and is a lot to take in.
