I can remember from a very early age crawling up onto my uncles lap where he would read to me the diary entries of Lady Cottington.

Whilst procrastinating with my homework the other night, I pulled out this book from my shelf and revisited Lady Cottington's fairy- riddled world.

The book is centered upon a young girl, Lady Cottington's misadventures with fairies. Taking the form of several journal entries, the book recounts all of Lady Cottington's encounters with fairies. In order to preserve the fairies not only in word, Lady Cottington also lures her fairies to the pages she writes about them on and then snaps her book closed- pressing the fairies like flowers.

Although this was a book I enjoyed and read prolifically in my primary school days, reading back "Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book" was still just as enthralling- observing changes in her handwriting and writing style but still maintaining a fascination with her magical surrounds.

The journal entries themselves are hilarious but the pictures of the squashed fairies attached are hysterical.

This book knows of no age limits. A book for everyone - irrespective of age group to enjoy!
