Some more reviews ...

Collins, Paul (ed.) - Trust Me!

Not sure what to read next? Want to try a different author but not sure if you'll like their style? This is a great collection of short stories and poems by some of Australia's best writers for young adults, including Shaun Tan, David Metzenthen, Catherine Bateson and Andy Griffiths. You can dip in anywhere and come up with a gem and if you like the small snippet you might want to try other books by the same writers.

Goodman, Alison - The Two Pearls of Wisdom
This is a book about a boy pretending to be a girl, a man dressed as a woman, a eunuch called Ryko, and a dragon that will only answers to its real name.

The treacherous imperial court is in a state of flux. The old emperor is dying and his Highness Prince Kygo is young and vulnerable. The Rat Dragon is ascendant and his Dragoneye Lord Ido wants to seize power. Only the new Mirror Dragoneye, Eon, can stand in his path.

Eon does not know the Mirror Dragon’s real name. Without such intimacy he is unable to manipulate its dragon’s Hua. The answer lies in a red leather book bound by a string of black pearls. The only problem being that Lord Ido has stolen the folio and hidden it in the heavily guarded Rat Dragon Hall. Eon must retrieve the text and connect with her dragon’s Hua. In doing so she reveals her deepest secret and risks death at the point of an imperial sword.
