This is one of the best second books in a series I have ever read. Following on from her fabulous first book in the series Reckless, Cornelia Funke gives us another look at the mirror world inhabited by Goyls. Having been cursed by the red fairy with a moth that will slowly kill him, Jacob sets out in the mirror world to find a way to defeat the curse. It will see him pitted against a formidable rival as he searches for a hidden treasure which may save his life. Along the way he is aided by his faithful companion, Fox who risks her life to help Jacob. This wonderful combination of fairy tale, fantasy and adventure had me totally enthralled as it reached a heart stopping conclusion. Can't wait for the third book!
