This is a fictionalized account of real events in the nine mile valley in the U.S. It tells of a female wolf called Marta who is mistakenly relocated to an area rife with danger and then along with her young family must battle starvation and the elements to return to their home hunting grounds in Montana .Told from Marta's point of view it takes us deep into a wolf's world and is a touching, sometimes heart wrenching story of a perilous existence. It opened up my eyes to how even well meaning humans can sometimes harm these majestic creatures
