The Graveyard Book was a powerful and slightly, in some ways, cynical because the main character, Nobody Owens, is brought up by ghosts in a graveyard and his creepy, but kind, guardian Silas. Nobody, or Bod's, family were murdered when he was young by a man named Jack who is still out to kill Bod. That is what the book is mostly about, hiding from the man Jack in the graveyard with all the ghosts, and Silas. For me, the first few chapters droned on a bit, lacking action. But thankfully the action returned in the last chapters.  GREAT BOOK!
