Abandoned
by his stepfather in the woods of Urwald, Jinx is rescued by the wizard Simon.
As he works for Simon, Jinx begins to understand the power of magic and to
realise that he has unusual magical abilities. When Simon uses a spell to steal
Jinx's magic, Jinx begins to distrust Simon – a fear that will lead him into
dangerous adventures as he seeks to reverse Simon's spell.
