The Recruit by Robert Muchamore

Our government is not above using children as spies. They have one great advantage - adults never suspect that teens are spying on them. James has always been a bit of a troublemaker, but now after some training he's ready to become the latest CHERUB recruit.  That is, if he can complete the gruelling 100 day survival camp where even the toughest recruits don’t make it to the end.... This action story was made into the 2003 Australian movie by the same name, staring Al Pacino and Colin Farrell.
