Swerve, by Phillip Gwynne

If you love cars you'll love this book. Hugh has 2 passions: cello playing and cars. A bit of a nerd, his future is mapped out for him - finish school, play cello. Then he meets his long, lost grandfather and discovers they share a passion for cars. His grandfather casually suggest driving to Uluru in his HT Monaro GT350 and Hugh can't resist. So begins a madcap adventure, signposted by the towns they pass through, the range of oddball characters they meet and the scrapes they get into. It's a road trip which has some hilarious moments and it will change Hugh's life forever.
